Getting to Curaçao

Curaçao may be under the radar, but it surely isn’t behind the times. We are proud to have a modern international airport and various docking spots for cruise ships.

Take advantage of our comprehensive Curaçao travel information for your trip.

You can travel to Curacao by air with direct flights from North America, Europe, and South America or visit Curacao by sea on a cruise or with your own yacht.

Before arriving on the island, be sure to fill out your Embarkation-Disembarkation (ED) Card and know what you can bring with you through customs.

Located in the tropics, just 12° north of the Equator, Curaçao has a warm, sunny climate year round. The average temperature is about 27° C (in the mid 80s F). Cooling trade winds blow constantly from the east, picking up in the spring months.

The rainy season, which is between October and February, is usually marked by short, occasional showers, mostly at night, and continued sunny weather during the day. Total annual rainfall averages only 570 mm (22 inches).

The shelves of Curaçao's supermarkets and specialty food shops are well stocked with a variety of goods from around the world, and also some local products.

Supermarkets carry European, American, and South American products. A full list of the island's gorcery stores can be found here.
